Job Description

Experience and Education :

Essential Qualifications / Experience :

• High school diploma or degree in electronics or a related network / communication field; 10 years of experience
• 5+ years of experience as a satellite technician or similar role
• Good knowledge of electronic and RF measurement instruments; proficiency with hand and power tools
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Desirable Qualifications / Experience :

• Fluency in Italian language

Duties / Role :

• Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of satellite communication systems
• Complete installation and configuration of all satellite communication system elements
• Manage baseband elements : SATCOM modems, routers, switches, media converters, matrix switches, line amplifiers, and other active / passive elements
• Handle RF elements : UP / Down Converters, Amplifiers, LNA's, RF over Fiber converters, etc.
• Monitor and control systems : workstations, servers, gateways, DSPs, network and interface elements
• Software management : Windows, Linux, Network IOS, proprietary software, configurations
• Update hardware / software configurations as required
• Install power / data and fiber optic cables; maintain and update documentation
• Support local Power technician with installation and setup of power, heating, cooling, and ancillary systems
• Conduct regular maintenance inspections and preventive tasks for SATCOM, Power, HVAC, security, and ancillary systems
• Diagnose and repair issues, replace faulty components, and update software as needed
