Join our innovative team as a Protection & Control Automation Lead and play a crucial role in shaping the energy landscape.
As Automation Lead Expert, you will be a leader for automation, control, protection, and communication parts of complex tenders and project execution characterized by:
- Large volume projects or frame agreements
- High risk opportunities
- Extensive, non-standard tender documentation deliverables
- Complex delivery model with many teams and units involved in international projects
Your Responsibilities- Act as a technical lead and design authority for engineering deliverables, installation, and commissioning activities of automation, control, protection, and communication scope of supply.
- Work with the customer to architect and provide solutions to drive the delivery of innovative improvements and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the supply chain to identify potential vendors, cross-check offers with specifications, and consider technical and commercial aspects.
- Manage sales support during the sales process, including tender and risk review, scope definition, and provision of bills of materials and engineering hours.
- Create and execute strategies for risk and opportunity management.
- Develop work plans and cost estimates, review and approve scope, budget, and schedule.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigate risks.
- Support the Contract Manager with scope changes, cost, and risk assessments.
Your Background- Master’s degree in Power System, Electrical Engineering, or similar, preferably with a focus on electrical power systems.
- Technical background in substation automation, control, protection, OT Network, and CS; experience in OEM international companies preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years in project execution as a Lead engineer or in technical project management in substation automation, control, and protection & OT Network cybersecurity.
- Experience with industrial control systems, HMI/SCADA design, communication protocols, network architecture, and cybersecurity.
- Ability to lead virtual teams and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Good understanding of IEC standards such as 61850, 60870-5-104, 62443, 61892, 61869, 62439-3, etc.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
- Excellent command of English; additional European languages are a plus.
