Job summary

ESA’s Vega-E Programme Division in Frascati invites an internship to help develop and validate engineering models for liquid rocket engines (MR10/MR60) and the VEGA-E LPM. You will use EcosimPro to extend models and assess them against test data.

The apprenticeship includes training on propulsion modelling, data analysis, and report drafting, with collaboration from IPT propulsion specialists to deepen your understanding of the VEGA Space Transportation System.

Qualifications

• You must be a university student enrolled for the entire duration of the internship.
• Knowledge of Rocket Propulsion, Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate engineering models for liquid rocket engines (MR10/MR60) and the VEGA-E LPM using EcosimPro.
• Extend and refine engine and system models and validate against experimental data.
• Carry out data analysis and draft technical reports.
• Collaborate with IPT propulsion specialists to gain broader exposure to the VEGA Space Transportation System.
