Job Description:

What you will do

The Proposal Engineer will be responsible for issuing proposals and managing the relationship with the customer within the framework of the tender. This includes providing a high-level understanding of requirements and supporting the salesperson in developing business opportunities.

How you will do it

• Develop and own proposals
• Ensure quotes meet customer application and operational needs
• Conduct site surveys and meetings to understand and investigate needs, proposing best-fit solutions
• Support on technical solutions and benefits
• Prepare technically accurate and timely customer quotations, verified commercially, offering comprehensive solutions (including buy-out scope)
• Estimate materials, services, and other costs; develop proposal strategies with the salesperson
• Manage technical and commercial bid review processes according to DOA
• Handle handover between proposal and operations/execution team post-contract award
• Attend relevant technical and commercial training to maintain high product, codes, and process knowledge, including new product releases

What we look for

• Degree in Engineering or relevant engineering field; electrical and process engineering preferred
• Knowledge of fire detection solutions for O&G, power markets, industry, and real estate; foam and gas suppression knowledge a plus
• Understanding of fire protection standards and regulations
• Experience in design and quoting turnkey supplies is advantageous
• Ability to work under pressure within a multinational organization
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar role
• Fluent in Italian and English (verbal, reading, writing)
• Mid-Senior level
