Nidec Conversion is hiring a Proposal Engineer for Montebello Vicentino (VI).

Summary of Role

• Analyze customer’s request for quotation and project specifications.
• Prepare technical proposals and cost calculations for solutions.
• Support the sales team during alignment and negotiation processes.

Principal Job Responsibilities

The job holder should:

• Receive customer RFQs from the sales department.
• Perform site surveys, gather information, and identify customer needs for specific projects.
• Work closely with sales, marketing, project execution, and technical teams to provide complete and competitive technical solutions.
• Estimate costs of materials, cabling, engineering, and site activities for RFQs.
• Provide breakdowns of materials, equipment, and supplies needed to complete projects.
• Maintain contacts with suppliers and subcontractors in coordination with the supply chain team.
• Prepare detailed documentation to support project bids.
• Participate in customer meetings, such as solution presentations and technical clarifications.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education and Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering University Degree or High School Degree.

Experience

• 2-3 years in hardware or software design.
• 3 years of experience in proposal activities is preferred.
• Technical background in drives, motors, and automation.
• Good knowledge of site activities or site management is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in sales team management is preferred but not essential.
