Our Client is one of the major General Contractors in Europe with a turnover of over 1 billion euros.

They are a leading player in turnkey projects, from design to construction, in the infrastructure and buildings sector.

The company offers solutions ranging from financial planning and land evaluation to design and construction within the industrial, logistics, and data center sectors.

To expand the Data Center Business Unit, they are seeking a Projects Director who will report to the Technical Director. This role is responsible for the delivery of entrusted projects from pre-design through construction, ensuring profitability in line with contractual agreements and company objectives.

The ideal candidate is a team leader, maintains strong customer relationships, and manages a team of (Senior) Project Managers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES :

• Provides technical support to business development during prospecting activities.
• Engages with clients alongside the business development team to understand their needs and project specifics.
• Proposes technical and cost-effective solutions tailored to client needs.
• Prepares and optimizes building designs and technical solutions.
• Estimates design costs and prepares preliminary schedules.
• Prepares documents for feasibility studies, including bills of quantities and M&E considerations.
• Defines project scope and manages finalization and briefing with relevant departments.
• Serves as the primary contact for clients and company representatives during projects.

Contract :

• Participates in contract approval processes with the business development team, legal, and finance departments.
• Approves all contract details as the contract’s director.
• Prepares necessary technical and administrative documents.

Construction :

• Builds and leads the project team, ensuring team members possess necessary skills.
• Oversees the project team, including design, technical inspection, subcontractors, and safety personnel.
• Ensures project completion according to contractual agreements, monitoring progress and schedule adjustments.
• Produces technical summaries of interventions across trades.

Cost and Schedule Management :

• Conducts financial analysis to ensure profit margins align with objectives.
• Participates in contract committees and manages project costs and sales pricing.

Team Management :

• Coordinates with senior management to oversee team management of Project Assistants and (Senior) Project Managers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in civil engineering, urbanism, or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in private construction markets, with familiarity in TKP or EPCM contracts.

Languages spoken :

Italian and English preferred.

Location – Milan and hybrid work model.
