For our Savigliano site in Italy, we are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Project Planner.

Purpose of the Job

Responsible for developing and maintaining the project schedule to manage efficiently the project's time commitments (tender, contract, or program).

Performance Measurement

• On-time delivery of all tender deliverables requested to fulfill RFP requirements.
• On-time delivery of schedule analysis for decisions by the Tender Team: critical path, compliance with tender strategy related to contractual milestones, planning risks, mitigation plan, and list of ambitions.
• To prepare engineering schedules with métier managers and pre-project teams with Bid Technical Manager hypotheses.

In R&D and Project:

• To update and consolidate engineering schedules.
• To ensure consistency with the overall project schedule.
• To survey blocking points.
• To propose solutions to respect the committed schedule.

In contract or program:

• Baseline approved (internally and by the Customer) and managed.
• Regular and consistent schedule updates, with potential delays analysis and action plans proposed to the project team.
• On-time delivery of KPIs (OTD, documentation, Gate Reviews GO on time, sales, cash, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Analyze the schedule management requirements of the Customer (contractual tools, schedule structure, reporting constraints, etc.).
• Define tender preparation schedule and monitor until the submission of the tender.
• Detail the tender schedule based on Reference Library templates, gap analysis, Métiers commitments, and PSO, PDO & PIO tender strategy.
• Highlight the critical path and risks linked to the schedule and propose optimization & mitigation actions.
• Propose a strategy regarding compliance with contractual requirements.
• Participate in defining schedule interfaces with partners and the Customer.
• Deliver all schedule-related deliverables on time at the requested level.
• Estimate the cost of scheduling management effort.

In contract or program:

• Define and maintain the Project Time Management Plan, respecting and complementing higher-level plans and the overall Project Management Plan.
• In multi-unit projects, the lead Unit PrPM coordinates the project scheduling community (meetings, MoM, etc.).
• Detail and update the project schedule based on contractual targets and data from stakeholders.
• Propose the project baseline.
• Ensure the consistency of all internal and external stakeholder commitments and manage schedule interfaces.
• Organize and lead periodic Project Schedule Sessions.
• Participate in project core team meetings and/or Schedule management meetings of higher rank.
• Provide timely schedule updates highlighting gaps between actual and baseline.
• Focus on early identification of potential delays.
• Prepare schedule and progress reports for customers, lead units, or partners.
• Support the Project Manager on all schedule-related issues.
• Develop and maintain schedule templates for the Reference Library.

Knowledge & Experience

• Project management and industrial backgrounds.
• Good overall knowledge of railway products and systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team within a large network.
• Conflict management and multi-tasking skills.
• Proactive in proposing solutions and able to challenge project teams.
• Ability to manage schedules and adapt to changing project goals.
• Critical thinking and good judgment skills.
