We are seeking a
Project Manager Sales SIE HANDELN
- Represent SMS group towards clients and manage internal project relationships;
- Conduct regular project discussions and negotiations with clients and consortium members, documenting outcomes;
- Lead core team meetings and record results;
- Hold the authority for the overall sales project, acting as an "entrepreneur inside the company";
- Understand project goals, requirements, and bid budget;
- Define project strategy collaboratively with the Core Sales Team and Project Owner Sales;
- Manage the Core Sales Team;
- Allocate project budget (Bid Budget) within authorized limits;
- Implement target costing based on project financials;
- Negotiate as the official contact with clients and partners on technical and commercial matters, in cooperation with the Commercial and Technical Managers until contract signing;
- Convene project meetings involving the Core Sales Team or partners, including risk assessments;
- Adhere to travel policies and obtain necessary approvals;
- Request and manage all project-related data and information;
- Possess project-related power of attorney for contract negotiations, with legally binding signing authority delegated to authorized representatives.
SIE WISSEN
- Graduate or Bachelor/Master in Mechanical Engineering or similar;
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in technical sales within complex plant manufacturing companies;
- Experience in analyzing customer requests and preparing technical offers;
- Commercial skills to identify competitive solutions and manufacturing strategies;
- Proficiency in reading mechanical technical drawings; basic knowledge of media systems, electrical, and automation packages is required;
- Strong coordination skills for managing proposal teams;
- Willingness to travel globally as needed;
- Fluent in English; German skills are a plus;
- Proficient in MS Office (including Project) and basic SAP knowledge;
- Drawing tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, etc.) are a plus but not required.
