Job Description

Location: Firenze, Italy

Job Objective

The Project Manager for defence projects ensures the fulfillment of contractual, technical, operational, and financial objectives (sales, AGM) within time, budget, and quality expectations, leading project implementation across relevant business functions. Additionally, the Project Manager acts as the Technical Site Director for HSE safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and interface with clients, team members, and business functions to achieve project milestones.
• Manage client satisfaction, quality, and timing, and pursue continuous improvement.
• Handle contractual terms and resolve critical issues effectively.
• Organize and plan projects using management tools like Primavera or MS Project.
• Manage technical documentation in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Coordinate project activities and products with suppliers and engineering.
• Monitor project progress against planned schedules.
• Track project profitability monthly and implement necessary actions to optimize efficiency.
• Participate in system validation, factory, and site testing to ensure client approval and system commissioning.
• Support System Engineers and Customer Service during commissioning, maintenance, and warranty phases.
• Prepare project reports from launch through closure.
• Ensure adherence to company values, Code of Ethics, Chorus, and HSE standards, including safety management and resource security.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

• Degree in Management Engineering or related field.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Ability to analyze data/documents and manage archives.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Italian communication skills.
• Autonomous, proactive, and capable of working independently.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Teamwork orientation and goal-driven motivation.
• Experience or knowledge in Defence or Public Administration legislative frameworks is preferred.
