Position

We are currently looking for a Project Manager – Helmets to join our R&D Department and play a pivotal role in the product development process from inception to bulk production. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely delivery, cost management and product compliance with Alpinestars’ quality and innovation standards for various projects within the Helmets Division, working cross-functionally with various internal and externals stakeholders at international level.

Main Responsibilities

  • You will be in charge for both product development and improvement projects from inception to bulk production stage (including concept, design, prototyping, tooling, testing and industrialisation), ensuring compliance with the company’s quality, safety and performance standards.
  • Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, you will define and monitor project timelines, related budgets as well as deliverables.
  • You will be responsible for driving cross-functional feedback, risk assessment and resolution of any issue or potential blocker in the project’s life cycle.
  • Moreover, you will coordinate cross-functional internal teams such as Design, CAD, Testing and Sourcing, as well as working closely with our suppliers based in Asia for tooling, sampling as well as production alignment.
  • You will keep track of the project’s phases and milestones, as well as maintaining and ensuring the timely release of clear and up-to-date documentation including Bills of Materials, technical information, certification related documentation, testing reports and technical drawings.
  • You will also support continuous improvement strategies implementation, as well as cost optimisation tactics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering and / or related fields.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing complex product development projects, preferably in the consumer goods and / or mobility sectors, with a strong focus on timelines, budget management and technical release.
  • Previous experience in Project Management will be a strong plus, however a solid knowledge of tooling, industrialisation and supplier management, particularly when working closely with Asian manufacturing partners will be necessary.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills will be mandatory, so to work smoothly cross-functionally within an international environment.
  • Familiarity with PLM Centric, MS Project and Excel will be a must-have.
  • A structured mindset and a proactive approach with strong organisational skills and attention to detail will be necessary.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Availability to travel periodically to suppliers and production sites located in Asia.
