Job summary

Hunter Philips Ltd in Milan seeks an experienced Solar PV Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of utility-scale developments across Northern Italy, reporting to an international management team.

The role is client-side, hybrid/remote with site travel, and begins as a freelance/independent contractor for 6 months with high extension potential. Fluency in Italian and English, strong reporting and cost controls are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience delivering utility-scale Solar PV projects.
• Electrical Engineering background preferred.
• Experience managing multiple projects and complex corporate stakeholders.
• Fluent in Italian and English communication.
• Based in Northern Italy with flexibility to attend Milan office and project sites.
• Strong project controls, cost management and reporting capabilities.
• PMP / PMI certification advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage the client-side delivery of multiple utility-scale Solar PV projects across Northern Italy.
• Oversee EPC contractor performance, construction programmes, budgets and milestones.
• Coordinate technical consultants, grid specialists, quality personnel and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project costs, risks, variations and financial performance.
• Review contractor progress, milestone approvals and payment applications.
• Maintain relationships with corporate clients and ensure contractual reporting compliance.
• Coordinate grid connection activities with local contractors and stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates, progress reports and risk assessments to senior management.
