Purpose of the Job

PrEM is the engineering representative among the project core team and manages the engineering core team to meet its QCD commitments. He applies and promotes the company's Team, Trust & Action values.

Responsibilities

Main management missions:

• Accountable for the technical decisions taken with his/her team.
• Responsible for managing project (or R&D or sustaining) engineering activities by delivering engineering work packages in compliance with the engineering QCD commitments. Represents engineering within the project core team and manages interfaces with PrXMs and other PrEMs of leading/participating units. Acts as the interface with the customer to provide a global view of design progress, issues, and risks. Delegates detailed technical discussions to appropriate experts (TSE, specialists) who provide minutes of meetings. Ensures timely and quality design reviews with partners in case of consortium projects. Provides regular reporting and performance analysis (PrEM cockpit). Defines and implements the Engineering Management Plan. Manages the project engineering core team (TxEs, RAMS, CV) and their commitments. Updates workload forecasts and escalates staffing or competence issues.

Responsible for: Owning and maintaining the engineering work package, updating baselines, validating variation orders, and ensuring traceability. Approving modifications via the CCB and updating QCD accordingly. Managing the global scheduling convergence with support from the Engineering Planning Manager. Ensuring operational quality by planning design reviews, inviting mandatory attendees, and tracking issue closure. Managing engineering points within DFQ Gate Review checklists and providing prognostics and mitigation actions for potential risks.

Risks & Savings

Responsible for: Managing engineering risk mitigation and savings plans, updating work packages accordingly, and communicating critical path issues to relevant managers and directors.

Knowledge & Experience

Engineer profile required with general product knowledge and understanding of engineering tasks. Minimum 5 years’ experience in product development and management. Fluent in English.
