We have an opportunity for a Project Engineer to join us at Honeywell .

The Project Engineer will be part of a project execution team, working in close contact with Honeywell customers and suppliers on cutting-edge turbomachinery control systems. They will exhibit genuine interest in solving work problems through proactively asking questions, clearly communicating, and collaborating both internally and externally to grow the business. In addition, the Project Engineer is responsible for understanding our competition and customers and showing initiative to learn and continuously improve company processes.

The Project Engineer will perform a variety of engineering duties covering different engineering disciplines.

Key requirements

·Develop turbomachinery control system based on customer specifications

·Review, develop, and prepare project documentation and drawings following standards, best practices, and use of company engineering tools and templates.

·Perform internal test and factory acceptance test activities of Honeywell control systems at Honeywell facilities or at customer premises.

·Communicate with customers, third party project representatives, and others to meet assigned project requirements for safety, quality, budget, and schedule.

·Support service team during commissioning phase when requested.

·Ensure regional needs or requirements are built into processes, work instructions or templates globally.

·Work directly with the customer to perform pre-sale activities including, site surveys, customer meetings, and other engineering activities.

·Develop specifications, configure, and conduct tests on third party equipment and instrumentation.

·Participate in continuous improvement and Lean Daily Management to efficiently execute projects.

·Rigorously follow Honeywell internal processes to guarantee high quality standards.

·Availability to travel internationally for short term assignments.

·Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.

·Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Key skills and qualifications

·Master's degree in engineering (Automation, Energy, Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical are preferred).

·Experience in control systems engineering or related field would be a plus

·Team working, flexibility, ability to interact in a multicultural environment.

·Understanding of, or ability to learn Honeywell solutions for turbomachinery and process control system applications including Anti-Surge, Load share, Master, and Speed governor (gas or steam turbine), extraction and generator.

·Good knowledge of axial and centrifugal compressor, pumps and generators will be a plus.

·Knowledge of gas turbine, steam turbine and electric motor.

·Basic knowledge of instrumentation for Oil and Gas industry.

·Basic knowledge of PLC programming.

·Understanding of controls philosophy and engineering processes (NGL, LNG, Ethylene, Ammonia

·Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

·Basic networking skills; including industrial automation networks and communication protocols

·Cybersecurity knowledge will be a plus

·Knowledge of PLC migrations will be a plus

·Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
