An International fast-growing Independent Power Producer is seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in PV, wind, and BESS. The company specializes in the initiation, development, financing, construction, management, and operation of renewable energy projects, including Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage. Operations are based in Israel and Europe, with a diversified portfolio exceeding 2.0GW of operational projects and an additional 20 GW / 30 GWh in development stages.
Responsibilities
- Manage project engineering involving external and internal stakeholders, consultants, and engineering firms.
- Define solar PV design criteria to optimize cost and performance.
- Perform solar resource assessments and energy production estimates using PVsyst and other tools.
- Support procurement phases, including RFPs and contract negotiations with equipment suppliers and BoP/EPC contractors.
- Assess new investment opportunities through internal feasibility studies or external technical advisors.
- Collaborate with departments like Procurement, Business Development, Project Development, Construction, and Operations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in improving internal processes.
- Gain exposure to other renewable technologies such as Green Hydrogen.
Requirements
- Experience in PV systems.
- Strong understanding of PV design principles.
- Experience with Wind Turbines (WTG) – Advantage.
- Experience with BESS – Advantage.
- Technical project management experience.
- Experience in the contractual technical phase of renewable energy projects.
- Familiarity with project development is preferable.
- Experience with high voltage connections and substations – Advantage.
- Proficiency with PVsyst, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
- Proactive, structured, and capable of managing external engineering teams.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams and independently.
- Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
