Eurochiller Srl, part of the Atlas Copco Group, is a leading European designer and manufacturer of customized chillers and thermoregulation units, with a specific focus on plastic applications, featuring full in-house design, assembly, and testing activities.

The company has two fully-certified production sites located in Northern Italy and Slovakia.

Eurochiller is now looking for a new Project Engineer Electrical & Controls based at the Italian site in Castello D’Agogna – PV.

Job Description

In this role, you will be a team member acting as the project electrical & control engineer within chiller projects from concept to production. You will report on the overview and status of the projects to the product development team leader. Your main responsibilities include supporting projects by gathering and analyzing input for various technical aspects, such as:

• Design and develop electrical systems, including circuits, wiring diagrams, and components, for various projects.
• Create detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and drawings using industry-standard software.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Create technical specifications, instructions, and tests for the Mk5 program.
• Software creation, implementation, and simulation of tests for PLC programs in collaboration with external studios within the group.
• Coordinate prototype tests on controls and perform bench tests as part of the test program in collaboration with external studios within the group.
• Support project planning regarding software development with external studios within the group.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical components into new products or systems.
• Participate in product development from concept to production, including prototyping and testing.
• Identify and select appropriate components and materials for electrical designs.
• Conduct testing and validation of electrical and control systems to ensure functionality and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, making design modifications as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and changes.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Create Bill of Materials (BOM) and support procurement and manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate and analyze the cost of electrical components and systems.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest design optimizations.
• Ensure projects are completed within budget constraints.
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure compliance.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
• Support production & service in case of problems with controls or electrical design.

You take initiative and cooperate on continuous improvement of the new product development and engineering processes.

Experience Requirements

• Degree in electrical/electronic engineering, or a technician degree with sound work experience in electrical engineering.
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
• Experience in PLC controls is a plus.
• Experience in an R&D environment is a plus.
• Experience with chiller technology is a plus.

Knowledge

Fluent in English. Good command of Italian. General technical knowledge. PLC programming background.
