Position Summary :

You will manage the design, implementation, and start-up phases of capital investment projects on the manufacturing site, within your defined scope of responsibility or specialization. You will ensure that the objectives of the investment project charter, design specifications, and Nestlé standards are followed. You will coordinate with internal and external partners through Daily and Weekly Operational Reviews and Collaborative Planning processes. You will identify and manage exceptions, monitor performance, and continually improve the quality and reliability of project development and implementation, as well as the project team’s ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Your typical day :

  • Support the End-to-End Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager in developing the investment project charter and ensure adherence throughout the project.
  • Execute the basic and detailed design of the project based on Nestlé Corporate Business Principles, standards, local regulations, User Requirements Specifications, and TPM characteristics (safety, quality, affordability, maintainability, operability, and reliability). Ensure safety during construction and ongoing operation.
  • Implement the engineering aspects of the project (buildings, equipment erection, piping, utilities, etc.) according to timing, cost, quality, URS, and unit operation characteristics. Ensure project elements, including technical training, are performed safely and support a smooth vertical start-up.
  • Select and qualify contractors, coordinate their activities, and ensure compliance with Nestlé standards.
  • Support the Start-Up Manager to facilitate a smooth transition to operations after installation qualification and verification.
  • Contribute to and support the preparation and distribution of engineering project documentation, including the final report, and provide feedback to the Maintenance Prevention System.
