Job Title : Project Engineer

Location : Milan, Italy Whom are we recruiting for? Our client is a rapidly growing renewable energy company, active in the development, construction, and operation of clean energy projects across Europe. With a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability, they aim to accelerate the energy transition through the deployment of utility-scale solar PV and storage projects. What will you be doing? As a Project Engineer, you will support the engineering and technical design of utility-scale renewable energy projects, with a primary focus on photovoltaic plants. Working closely with senior engineers and project managers, you will contribute to the technical documentation, permitting support, and coordination of external consultants during the development and execution phases. Your main responsibilities will include : Assisting in the review and preparation of engineering designs and layouts for PV and BESS projects. Coordinating with external engineering consultancies to ensure timely and compliant deliverables. Supporting grid connection studies and related documentation. Participating in permitting processes and preparing technical documents for submission. Collaborating with procurement and construction teams to ensure engineering inputs are aligned with project requirements. Monitoring project timelines and helping identify and mitigate technical risks. Are you the ideal candidate? Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Renewable Energy Engineering. 2–3 years of relevant experience in the design or technical coordination of renewable energy projects (preferably solar PV). Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic electrical or civil design tools. Knowledge of grid connection procedures and renewable energy regulations in Italy is a plus. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work well in a collaborative team environment. Fluency in English and Italian (written and verbal).
