Our Engineering team is expanding, and we are hiring a Project Engineer to support new site projects. The role involves developing project plans, including timelines and budgets.

Job Purpose

The Project Engineer is part of the Site Engineering team, supporting all activities related to new project design and implementation, as well as maintenance and improvement of existing equipment and infrastructure. The role involves managing local contractors and external suppliers throughout all project phases, focusing mainly on facility and energy projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Safety teams on new projects and ensure the proper condition of all facilities for continuous improvement.
  • Support the quick and efficient implementation of countermeasures for safety issues.
  • Ensure the efficiency and reliability of facilities, including structural integrity, lighting, insulation, firefighting equipment, and HVAC systems.
  • Manage budgets for specific workstreams/projects.
  • Manage suppliers, including solution design, offer evaluation, order management, implementation, safety, quality assurance, and compliance.
  • Participate in savings and improvement project meetings.
  • Develop action plans to address specific issues proactively.
  • Evaluate different solutions focusing on costs and timing.
  • Document project status and changes through reports.
  • Assess and test existing processes and workflows, and implement new procedures.
  • Work on projects to optimize energy consumption.
  • Monitor metrics to identify improvement areas and track upgrades.
  • Collaborate closely with area leaders and technicians.
  • Coordinate with Safety and Quality departments to ensure compliance with standards.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial), graduated within the last year preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of CAD drawing and plant P&ID is a plus.
  • Strong skills in project planning and detailed engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills for managing external parties.
  • Highly organized, precise, and capable of multitasking.
  • Interest in digitization and innovation.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian (native).
  • Fast learner with an open mind and growth mindset.
  • Result-oriented with a 'Can Do' attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills with attention to detail.
