Renewable Energy Project Manager (Wind or PV Solar) - Italy

Position Summary:

As a Renewable Energy Project Manager, you will oversee the entire development cycle of renewable energy projects, specifically wind farms or PV solar plants, from initiation to operation in Italy. Your main responsibilities include obtaining administrative authorizations, grid access and connection approvals, environmental impact approvals, joint evacuation infrastructure agreements, and negotiating land leases and plot lists. Your technical and legal expertise will be essential in conducting due diligence on buy-side and sell-side transactions. You will collaborate with internal experts and external consultants to support project design and technical due diligence. This role requires a team player with a background in electrical engineering and at least five years of experience in renewable energy project development and management.

Responsibilities:

1. Obtain Administrative Authorizations: Obtain approvals for wind farms and PV plants from relevant regional and national bodies; manage Sole Authorization processes.
2. Grid Access & Connection: Prepare technical documentation for grid access and connection; coordinate with ENEL and TERNA to secure Technical Access Contracts.
3. Environmental Impact Approval: Secure environmental impact approvals in compliance with regulations.
4. Joint Evacuation Infrastructure: Facilitate agreements for joint evacuation infrastructure.
5. Land Lease Negotiation and Expropriation: Negotiate land leases and expropriation agreements.
6. Documentation Preparation: Develop technical and commercial documentation for various project phases.
7. Technical and Legal Due Diligence: Conduct due diligence on transactions.
8. Collaboration: Work with internal and external teams to support project design and due diligence.
9. Contract Elaboration: Prepare and finalize contract terms for land leases and acquisitions.

Requirements:

• Master's degree (MSc) in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least five years of experience in renewable energy project development, focusing on wind and PV projects.
• Proven success in obtaining necessary project approvals.
• Knowledge of MS Office and QGIS software.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent in Italian and English (C1 level).
• Willingness to travel for project activities.
