OVERVIEW

Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will manage the project’s daily financial controls implemented by ICON. You will closely monitor the project budget and related elements affecting overall costs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the key contact for client group CFO, Controllers, and Finance Departments.
  • Manage all aspects of cost including tracking, forecasting, scope changes, delay claims, design impacts, cash flow, and payment requisitions.
  • Maintain and update all budget and cash flow aspects, including transfers, adjustments, exposure logs, and contingency plans.
  • Monitor project exposure logs and relevant cost logs from contractors and consultants.
  • Secure client signatures for budget adjustments and prepare detailed cash flow analyses, coordinating with the client’s financial team.
  • Oversee monthly billing and payment applications, resolving discrepancies and maintaining internal trackers aligned with budgets.
  • Evaluate contractor payment applications for accuracy and compliance, and coordinate payments with stakeholders.
  • Lead meetings with lenders and stakeholders regarding budgets and payments.
  • Assist with procurement functions such as drafting RFPs, bid analysis, and bid leveling.
  • Maintain documentation for contracts, insurance, and bonds, and review relevant logs and agreements.
  • Monitor procurement and purchase orders for client-furnished equipment and materials.
  • Understand project agreements and financial rules of engagement.
  • Review change order requests, ensuring entitlement and accuracy, and perform price analyses for fairness.
  • Calculate fair fees for design and consultancy services per Italian law and market standards.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and assist with ICON’s monthly reports.
  • Review actual costs against budgets and the Statement of Work during construction.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Solid experience in construction or related industries.
  • Familiarity with CSI division structure, change orders, budget formats, and architectural / engineering plans.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask and problem-solve efficiently.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Excel & MS Office; Power BI or similar software is advantageous.
