Project Control Manager leads the project control team and coordinates the overall project control activities of any size/complexity, included Turn Key projects, in full compliance with the contractual requirements following Company standard methodology, the Company’s quality requirements and Project Director/Project Manager instructions.

Main Activities & Responsibilities

In particular, the Project Control Manager is responsible:

  1. to prepare - for its area of responsibility - and to collaborate to the definition of the overall Project Execution Plan of the project with Project Director/Manager and involved project key personnel, such as Procurement Manager, Construction Manager and Project Engineer Manager (not exhaustive);
  2. to create and maintain, with the cooperation of and coordinating the Project Control Engineers (cost control, planning and document control engineers), the project control procedures, guidelines and project control standards of the project;
  3. to co-ordinate the finalization and implementation of the project WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), involving Project Director/Project Manager and project key personnel, guaranteeing the overall consistency and feasibility of the WBS in accordance to the contractual requirements;
  4. to be fully proficient and autonomous in the use and co-ordination amongst the Project Control Engineers of all the necessary Company Tools such as Primavera P6, SAP, Primavera Schedule Risk Analysis, etc;
  5. to coordinate the preparation of the “Top-Down Schedule” and project schedules at different level of details, as appropriate, involving Project Planner and project key personnel;
  6. to represent towards the Company, the Client and the internal stakeholders the single point of reference for all the Project Control activities together with the Project Director/Project Manager;
  7. to conduct Original Budget preparation by coordinating Project Control resources and by facilitating the necessary inputs receipt from Commercial Dept.;
  8. to evaluate the scope changes, design modifications and Contract variance in terms of time and cost supporting Contract Manager in preparing the Change Orders towards the Client.

Personal Attributes:

  • to travel for short period in Italy and abroad;
  • to move for short/medium term assignment abroad (6-12 months to jobsites, branches, etc.);
  • English speaker and writer;
  • 5 years experience, as a minimum, in a similar position in Oil & Gas and/or Renewable (solar photovoltaic, wind farm) Projects;
  • experience in project control (planning and/or cost controlling).
