Summary
The Program Manager – Fastener Discipline oversees the strategic management, execution, and growth of fastener programs for key clients within Martin Supply. This role ensures successful implementation of contract deliverables, manages cross-functional teams, drives robust client relationships, and champions continuous improvement in operational performance and customer satisfaction. The Program Manager leads complex projects, coordinates all program-related communications, and ensures that fastener programs achieve financial and service targets, with a focus on the industrial/ag manufacturing supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end management of fastener programs for assigned accounts, from proposal development through implementation and ongoing support.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for program stakeholders, internally and externally, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
- Build, maintain, and expand strong relationships with high-profile corporate clients within the fastener sector, particularly with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) accounts.
- Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to contract requirements and customer expectations.
- Monitor key performance indicators and program deliverables, proactively addressing barriers to success and driving process improvements.
- Oversee risk management processes and resolve issues impacting program execution.
- Coordinate with procurement, operations, engineering, and sales to deliver value-added fastener solutions—including Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), lean processes, and engineered fastener offerings.
- Represent Martin Supply at client sites and industry events; travel as necessary to support clients and business development.
- Prepare regular progress reports and program reviews for internal leadership and external clients.
- Ensure all documentation and program records are maintained according to Martin Supply’s standards and client requirements.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
- Industry Experience: Minimum 5+ years in program or account management, with relevant OEM fastener industry experience strongly .
- Proven track record working with major OEM accounts in the fastener sector.
- Deep understanding of OEM fastener supply chain operations and specific customer expectations.
- Proven ability in building and managing high-profile corporate client relationships.
- Exceptional project management skills—including timeline development, documentation, and concurrent project oversight.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and adept at risk management and issue resolution.
- Superior verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills; comfortable working with executive-level clients.
- Experience with VMI, lean manufacturing, or engineered fastener solutions is highly valued.
- Proficient with MS Office and project management software.
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
