WKMT Ltd. is seeking an intern for piano teaching based in Naples, Italy. The role involves providing piano lessons to students of varying ages and levels, adhering to health and safety standards, and participating in training sessions on British Piano Pedagogy. Interns may also engage in marketing activities and have the opportunity for accommodation.
The internship involves training in Vicente Scaramuzza piano technique through weekly sessions with Mtro. Juan Rezzuto, with experience in this technique being a significant advantage.
Training on British Piano Pedagogy and official syllabuses will be provided by WKMT staff during a weekly one-hour group meeting.
One-to-one piano lessons with Juan Rezzuto are available upon request and mutual agreement.
The intern is expected to deliver up to 39 hours of tuition weekly to students of all ages and levels at WKMT Kensington, WKMT Camberwell, and/or students’ homes, as directed by WKMT staff. Typically, teachers teach around 30-33 hours per week, though this may vary.
WKMT may offer accommodation options for interns living near the studios at a cost of £550/month, inclusive of bills, with a digital or acoustic piano included.
Responsibilities include teaching piano and keyboard lessons tailored to student needs, preparing students for performances and exams, maintaining accurate records, participating in performances and recordings, executing office tasks, and developing effective teaching methods to retain students.
Support students in using internet resources, host students with hospitality, and collaborate on WKMT’s SEO and marketing efforts.
Role requirements include preferred teaching experience, participation in training programs, adherence to health and safety standards, and a proven record of artistic excellence or decency.
Additional notes cover holiday scheduling (between July 25 - September 1 and December 18 - January 5), weekly day off, variable teaching hours, schedule rotas, cover arrangements, presentation standards, and SEO/social media activities.
