Production Supervisor (1st shift)

We are hiring a 1st shift Production Supervisor at our manufacturing facility in Florence KY. This position is responsible for supervising the production, packaging, bakery, and processing of food product. Typical hours for this role are 5 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 4 days per week (plus bonuses for picking up additional shifts).

Responsibilities:

1. Directs production, packaging, and bakery operations to meet company and USDA requirements.
2. Supervises, trains, and develops employees, including interviewing, hiring, and performance management.
3. Manages safety, housekeeping, employee relations, cost control, and problem-solving; adjusts work schedules as needed.
4. Ensures compliance with food safety regulations and works with USDA on quality assurance and HACCP documentation.
5. Monitors product quality, usage, waste, and performance to meet KPI measures.
6. Prepares and reviews operational reports, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
7. Supports continuous improvement in product quality, cost reduction, and GMP adherence.

Qualifications:

1. Education: High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 4 years related work experience preferably in food industry manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience, with minimum of 2 years in supervision.
3. Intermediate personal computer skills including Microsoft Office. SAP experience beneficial.
4. Intermediate knowledge of robotics used in production.
5. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
6. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
7. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Knowledge of USDA, FDA, and BRC regulations preferred.
8. Advanced knowledge of Bakery/dough processes preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $58,500 to $97,500 annually with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
