Overview

POSITION : Production Shift Superintendent

LOCATION : Milan, Italy

START : October 2025

DURATION : 12 months minimum (renewable contract)

SALARY : Competitive daily rate + expenses (where applicable)

Our client is seeking a Production Shift Superintendent with LNG production experience. This exciting opportunity is office based in Milan, Italy, with a focus on managing the engineering phase of an LNG project. Our client is a leader in the oil and gas sector, offering a competitive daily rate and the chance to work in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage production shift teams to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.
• Review engineering documents to align with company expectations.
• Develop production procedures and implement key production processes (e.g., PTW, logs, Simops).
• Participate in Hazop and engineering reviews and define a start-up sequence prioritizing reduced emissions.
• Recruit and train production staff, emphasizing the development of local Mozambican talent.
• Implement digital solutions, including digital twin technology and PI systems.

During Engineering phase

• Review engineering documents and make sure they are coherent and in line with Company expectations.
• Develop and write production procedures.
• Participate in the definition of start-up sequence, taking into account the reduction of flare emissions.
• Participate in all HAZOP and engineering reviews, DCS FATs, reduction of alarms…
• Develop and implement production processes (PTW, inhibitions, downgraded situations, safety tours, logs, SIMOPS…).
• Develop the list of production tools.
• Implement digital solutions (digital twin, PI…).
• Recruit and train production staff
