PRODUCTION SHIFT LEADER

Directly reporting to the Production Area Manager, the Production Shift Leader ensures the execution of shift/line production plans, providing products of defined quality at optimal cost by organizing team members and available assets. They ensure compliance with health and safety requirements according to law and in line with HSE policies.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Organizes work allocation on the line to ensure optimal production plan execution.
  2. Coordinates regular preventive maintenance of lines, systems, and machines during the shift.
  3. Ensures food safety requirements are met for finished goods produced.
  4. Maintains health and safety standards according to law (Legislative Decree no. 81/10) and HSE policies, acting as the person in charge in the production area (preposto).
  5. Organizes problem-solving sessions with team members and key stakeholders.
  6. Ensures production plan execution during the shift (performance to schedule).
  7. Delivers shift KPIs such as SLE, yields, GMP, etc.
  8. Prepares shift reports timely and according to requirements.
  9. Supports team members in developing the necessary skills for their roles.
  10. Ensures team members have clear responsibilities and objectives.
  11. Recognizes good performance and addresses poor performance promptly.
  12. Supports continuous process improvements and updates tools for operators' suggestions and ideas.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Management Engineering preferred.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of relevant production experience in structured companies.
  3. Previous experience in team management.
  4. Understanding of food and beverage technology.
  5. Good knowledge of maintenance procedures.
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  7. Knowledge of policies, procedures, and systems in manufacturing.
  8. Delegation and prioritization skills.
  9. Problem-solving abilities.
  10. Drive for results.
  11. Conflict resolution skills.
  12. Ability to set clear performance standards.
  13. Positive leadership qualities.
