Descrizione del lavoro

PRODUCTION SHIFT LEADER

Directly reporting to the Production Area Manager, ensures shift/line production plan execution, providing products of defined quality, at optimal cost, by organizing team members and available assets. He ensures health and safety requirements according to law and in line with HSE policies.

Main responsibilities:

  1. Organizes work allocation on the line to ensure optimal production plan execution
  2. Organizes work in the shift to ensure regular preventive maintenance of the lines/systems/machines
  3. Ensures food safety requirements for finishing goods produced
  4. Ensures health and safety requirements according to law (Legislative Decree no. 81/10) and in line with HSE policies, guidelines and internal procedures, being people in charge in the relevant production area (preposto)
  5. Ensures and organizes problem-solving sessions and related activities with team members and key stakeholders
  6. Ensures production plan execution in his/her shift (performance to schedule)
  7. Ensures shift's/team's KBIs delivery (SLE, Yields, GMP etc.)
  8. Makes certain that shift reports are prepared on time and according to agreed requirements
  9. Ensures that team members develop the right skills set for performing their job effectively
  10. Ensures that team members have clear responsibilities and objectives
  11. Recognizes good performance and addresses poor performance quickly
  12. Supports and suggests continuous processes improvements (suggests updates of the tools for processing operators’ suggestions and ideas)

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Mechanical or Chemical or Management Engineering
  2. Minimum 2 years of relevant production experience
  3. Previous experience in team management
  4. Understanding of food and beverage technology
  5. Good knowledge of Maintenance procedures
  6. Good organizational & Time management skills
  7. Knowledge of interpretation of policies, procedures, and systems in Manufacturing
  8. Delegation & setting priorities skills
  9. Problem-solving skills
  10. Drive for results
  11. Conflict resolution
  12. Ability to set clear standards for performance
  13. Ability to act as a positive leader
  14. Teamwork skills and mindset
