Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Production Engineer to join our team for a major project in the Oil & Gas sector. The selected candidate will play a critical role in supporting both operational and technical functions, with a strong focus on emissions monitoring, process optimization, and Smart Room operations. This role requires close collaboration with site operations, engineering teams, and environmental functions, contributing directly to the safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant performance of the plant.

Duration: 1 year (with potential for extension)

Working Schedule: Rotational (7/7 days, potentially extendable to 14/14)

Main Responsibilities

  • Support Smart Room and site operations, focusing on GHG monitoring, flaring reduction, and process optimization.
  • Assist with wells, production, chemical management, and performance improvements.
  • Prepare reports on flaring, SO₂ emissions, and environmental exceedances.
  • Develop dashboards and monitoring tools using PI System (PI Vision, PI-AF).
  • Perform and support test runs, metering, and field activities.
  • Monitor emissions via SME system; report anomalies and support troubleshooting.
  • Ensure timely reporting and regulatory communication (per DGR 588/2021).
  • Document process/environmental issues and corrective actions.
  • Support CSR and ENV teams on air quality, odor complaints, and GHG reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in process engineering within oil & gas facilities.
  • Solid knowledge of oil & gas production systems, emissions monitoring, and process safety standards.
  • Proficiency in heat and mass transfer, fluid dynamics, and energy conversion principles.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with hands-on experience using digital monitoring platforms (PI, PI-AF, PI Vision).
  • Experience working in a regulatory-compliant environment and managing communication with local authorities is an asset.
