Key Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, etc., to meet or exceed set objectives.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to improve sales performance. Handle objections, misunderstandings, and concerns effectively, consistently gaining logical calls to action to close sales.
- Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
- Develop and execute call plans that meet call metrics, optimizing coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Gain understanding of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, and other relevant information; share insights with in-field teams to align strategies and anticipate market changes.
- Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with healthcare providers and develop disease state experts and advocates to enhance brand performance.
Requirements
- Legal or governmental mandatory degrees as per respective country laws/regulations.
- Master's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business, or equivalent.
- Proven success in sales and strong presentation skills.
- Deep scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; recognized as an expert resource.
- Strong business acumen, proficient in business tools, with strategic and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to adapt selling approach based on customer style and behavior.
- Effective operation in a matrix environment.
- Innovative mindset with solutions to maximize opportunities and respond to change; credible and respected among peers; capable of building collaborative partnerships.
- Preferred: Proven sales success in therapeutic areas, experience in pharmaceutical sales, training, managed healthcare, or marketing; proficiency in English (verbal and written).
