Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, etc., to meet or exceed set objectives.
  2. Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to improve sales performance. Handle objections, misunderstandings, and concerns effectively, consistently gaining logical calls to action to close sales.
  3. Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
  4. Develop and execute call plans that meet call metrics, optimizing coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  5. Gain understanding of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, and other relevant information; share insights with in-field teams to align strategies and anticipate market changes.
  6. Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with healthcare providers and develop disease state experts and advocates to enhance brand performance.

Requirements

  1. Legal or governmental mandatory degrees as per respective country laws/regulations.
  2. Master's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business, or equivalent.
  3. Proven success in sales and strong presentation skills.
  4. Deep scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; recognized as an expert resource.
  5. Strong business acumen, proficient in business tools, with strategic and critical thinking skills.
  6. Ability to adapt selling approach based on customer style and behavior.
  7. Effective operation in a matrix environment.
  8. Innovative mindset with solutions to maximize opportunities and respond to change; credible and respected among peers; capable of building collaborative partnerships.
  9. Preferred: Proven sales success in therapeutic areas, experience in pharmaceutical sales, training, managed healthcare, or marketing; proficiency in English (verbal and written).
