ROVI Biotech S.R.L is the Italian affiliate of Laboratorios Farmacéuticos ROVI, S.A. (a public global Spanish pharmaceutical company that develops, manufactures and markets pharmaceutical products). The company is expanding internationally with subsidiaries in Portugal, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, France and Poland and a portfolio of more than 40 products marketed in more than 100 countries.

The portfolio includes products in research and development, including heparin-based products with an enoxaparin biosimilar launched in 2018 in Italy and new controlled drug release systems based on the ISM (in-situ microimplants) technology. The first product using this technology is Risperidone ISM, providing prolonged release of risperidone for schizophrenia. Risperidone ISM has been launched in Germany, Spain, the UK and Portugal and will be launched in France, Italy, Austria and other EU countries in 2023.

Main purpose of the role

Sales Representative / Product Specialist to join a solid and rapidly growing company in Italy. The role suits an ambitious individual with a commercial background and knowledge of antipsychotics, with close involvement with KOLs and key decision-makers in the schizophrenia field. The candidate will drive brand performance by translating market context and stakeholder insights into actionable plans in line with global and local strategy and country priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Devise and implement customer-specific pre- and post-call selling approaches that address practitioners’ perspectives and institutional philosophies within compliance guidelines.
  • Use approved clinical studies and marketing aids to support the value proposition; tailor the message to meet practitioners’, institutions’, and company objectives.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan including local opportunities, strategies, and tactics; maximize resources and build partnerships to drive sales in the local geography.
  • Develop a territory coverage plan that maximizes selling time with account professionals; adjust schedules to increase access to key stakeholders and cover all shifts.
  • Maximize and customize the value proposition; influence contract implementation processes within institutions and hold stakeholders accountable to contracts.
  • Develop knowledge of payer access and affordability in the territory for the company’s products.
  • Institute an integrated business plan targeting key accounts using available resources and aligning with district, regional, and company goals.
  • Analyze business analytics to identify opportunities, monitor plan effectiveness, and adapt to competition to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Provide historical sales records and input to sales forecasts; relay relevant market information to management.
Ideal candidate requirements

Requisite: At least 1 year of experience detailing / promoting products to hospital psychiatrists.

Qualifications
  • University degree is essential.
  • Pharmacy, Medical or natural science qualification is essential.
Experience & Competences
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience (3+ years).
  • At least 3 years’ experience as Sales Representative in pharmaceuticals working with RX brands.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English to an excellent standard.
  • Good understanding of mental illness and the pharmaceutical antipsychotics sector.
  • Proven history of delivering sales results and achieving targets.
  • Experience with mental health stakeholders and policies.
  • Experience with Key Opinion Leader interaction / influence.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to educate healthcare professionals and work on own initiative.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
