Overview

In This Role Your Main Accountabilities Will Be

ABB E-mobility is seeking a Product Marketing Segmentation Lead for Public Transit to become a customer evangelist, helping us meet our revenue targets by effectively demonstrating the value of our charging solutions to the market. As the Product Marketing Segmentation Lead for Public Transit at ABB E-mobility, you will drive success by strategically positioning and promoting our solutions globally in the Public Transit segment.

You will be the product marketing solutions lead for all segment offerings, liaising with product managers in EU and NA and translating this to customer-facing value and owning the success of our latest solution-led segment view.

This senior role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, advanced product knowledge, ability to lead cross-functionally, and marketing expertise. The ideal candidate must be highly analytical and able to conduct sophisticated quantitative analyses, while also excelling at synthesizing and telling a captivating story to diverse audiences. Extensive experience managing cross-functional projects is essential. Experience with technology or the automotive industry is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities Include
  • Go-to-Market Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans for new charging solution launches and features, including sales enablement, promotional activities, and solutions roadmaps
  • Strategic Messaging and Positioning: Craft compelling messaging and segment solution-level narratives that align with our company positioning across our customer segments
  • Own the market specifications for Public Transit and sub-segments, bringing market and customer input to support product management functions
  • Commercial Responsibility: Collaborate with sales and business teams to build solution-focused offerings
  • Capture Strategy: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and emerging customer needs targeting high-value prospects
  • Customer Evangelism: Disseminate and evangelize customer insights across the company to align teams with a customer-centric approach
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and support Sales, Marketing, and Product teams; train them on the problems we solve for buyers and users of our charger solutions; refine messaging and positioning
  • Content Strategy: Inform the content roadmap with charger customer insights; collaborate with internal Integrated Marketing to ensure consistent messaging across channels and develop content for events
  • Test and refine innovative marketing approaches and channels to reach and engage key audiences
  • Defining business models and defining business metrics and measurement plan (OKRs)
Requirements
  • 8-12 years of proven experience in product marketing/product management
  • Experience within the Charging and/or Public Transit is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and compelling messaging
  • Demonstrated experience in developing impactful marketing collateral, including sales enablement materials, presentations, and web content based on previous product launches
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with teams such as product management, sales, client success, and engineering
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related); a master's degree is a plus
  • Passion for sustainability, renewable energy, and driving positive environmental impact
