RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for managing, developing, and driving profitable business growth for the Taron Activated Sludge Filter product line. It is a hybrid product management-business development role where the Product Manager will develop and execute the commercialization plan for this product line and integrated solutions utilizing licensed technology from one of Xylem’s manufacturing partners. The business will operate as a highly agile startup within the treatment sector, driven by a commercial owner (this role) and a technical owner.

The role requires interaction across the business to leverage existing resources and teams, while directly managing a small core team to grow this new business. Commercialization should be initiated concurrently in targeted emerging and developed markets, with offerings tailored to their needs.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the water sector
  • Experience in a sales leadership, operations leadership, or product management role
  • Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30%, mainly within Europe and once a year to the USA
  • Experience with biological processes is a plus
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive action
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
LOCATION

The main onsite work and training will be in Montecchio Maggiore (VI) and Rome. Hybrid or remote work modes are also supported.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Business Development
  • Develop strategies and actionable plans for the commercialization of Taron Activated Sludge Filter
  • Assess potential new markets and develop go-to-market strategies
  • Monitor order performance, revenue, and gross margin to track progress and implement timely countermeasures
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted lead generation and branding campaigns
  • Identify market adjacency opportunities and onboard channel partners to accelerate growth
Product Management
  • Manage the execution of the multi-year product roadmap, including new product development, improvements, and phase-outs
  • Coordinate with global product managers and marketing teams
  • Drive and participate in the product tollgate process, developing business cases and product requirements
  • Conduct market research, customer visits, and Voice of Customer activities to inform product development
