This Position reports to :

Product Manager BL Energy Distribution

ABB Smart Buildings enables optimization of energy efficiency safety security and comfort for any building type through new installations or retrofit solutions. The Division offers integrated digital technologies to control HVAC lighting shutters and security in addition to energy distribution solutions including DIN rail products enclosures and emergency lighting through to industrial plugs and sockets and conventional wiring accessories accommodating for single family homes multiple dwellings commercial buildings infrastructure and industrial applications. The Divisions highly innovative technologies and digital solutions serve rising global demand among real estate developers owners and investors for smart building technologies that optimize energy distribution and building automation. The scalable solutions aim to deliver significant sustainable and financial benefits meeting social and environmental demands while being able to address even the most complex of customers carbon reduction strategies.

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Electrification business. Analyzing portfolio development and partnerships for BL Energy Distribution. Acts as a support for the teams management in the development and implementation of winning strategies. Analyzes proposals for profitable growth and differentiation based on their deep understanding of BL Energy Distribution businesses and their market environment.

The work model is hybrid #LI-hybrid.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops a clear understanding of market developments and the competitive environment for BL Electrical Distribution products to generate new ideas.
  • Analyzes major trends strategic opportunities (including M&A and partnerships) and / or challenges for BL Energy Distribution including sustainability aspects.
  • Supports the screening preparation monitoring and execution of partnerships. Assists in defining partnership agreements.
  • Ensures that the identification screening and validation process is in place for new opportunities (including organic growth and partnerships)
  • Organizes and synthesizes facts into clear analysis to provide impactful insights for strategic operational and sustainability related initiatives
  • Develops strategic and analytical frameworks and creates work plans that translate strategic frameworks into concrete actions and deliverables and aligns them with stakeholders
  • Executes key parts of strategic projects including project management and coordination with cross-business teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree or above major in Electrical- Mechanical- Mechatronics engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience in business development market analysis or strategic planning
  • Market knowledge of low voltage energy distribution : products applications and solutions such as Energy Management, Din Rail devices and Sub distribution enclosures
  • Financial analysis and reporting are a plus
  • Fluency in English is a must both written and spoken
  • 10 years experience in Product Management Product Marketing or R&D in related subjects are preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and get results with many priorities and under tight timeframes
  • Strong leadership skills, excellent communication & negotiation skills, strategic orientation and thinking, problem solving, team-working, and result orientation
