Overview
Consumer Lending is one of the bank's most digital products where we are continuously improving our instant processes and increasing the value propositions for our customers. ING is looking for a Product Expert in personal loans, joining us to be part of a high performing and cooperative team to achieve ambitious goals for a superior customer experience. The Product Expert Personal Loans is positioned as Customer Journey Expert within the Agile organization and has end-to-end responsibility for the development, management, harmonization and phasing out of commercial products, services, channel formulas and processes within one or more segments, with the aim of achieving an optimum customer experience. The candidate works in the Personal Loans Team together with other experts to achieve the squad's mission.
Responsibilities
- Support the Squad in the launch of new commercial products, services and initiatives (Canvass/incentives, DEM, Promo, etc.) by interfacing with internal Departments (Voice of Customer, Brand and Campaign, etc.).
- Monitor the market, identify trends, new services and products, analyze competitors’ offerings, and propose initiatives aligned with ING's strategy.
- Proactively support risk management by collaborating with Credit Risk, Compliance, Legal, DPO, ORM and other departments; ensure correct application of company policies.
- Participate in Global working groups with Head Office; create and own market requirements specifications and business cases for the product.
- Help the squad analyze and define business process flows, draft functional documents from analysis and requirements, support users in requirements definitions, and conduct tests.
- Be accountable for product lifecycle management, including performance management, marketing and product innovation.
- Prepare materials for the approval of new products (PARP).
- Independently manage the obligations for correct application of Product Oversight Governance (POG) insurance policy, interfacing with Partner representatives.
- Support the squad in managing action plans from issues and applying regulatory updates affecting ING as originator and distributor.
- Collaborate with Distribution Channels Learning team to draft and update training material for channel sales staff; monitor sector developments via legal watch (e.g., Bank of Italy, EBA, Assofin, SIC).
- Monitor ING's consumer lending content on the website and enhance it for content quality and usability as an effective customer touchpoint.
- Support day-to-day squad activities and backlog management, enabling a broader view of processes and procedures.
- Work in Agile teams, actively participating in sprint events and contributing ideas.
- Act as a moderator to improve how the team works and ensure strategic priorities are prioritized.
- Customer journey monitoring: translate complex business needs into monitoring setups; define new monitoring standards for ING.
- Update and maintain operating procedures.
Competencies
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management/Project Management in consumer lending business development.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Understanding of the financial market, including benchmarking and competitive overview.
- Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, international, and collaborative environment; identify new business opportunities and improvements.
- Strong analytical capabilities and experience in monitoring and tracking financial performance and data.
- Ability to lead complex projects and collaborate across functions, while managing stakeholders and governance requirements.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in process design and end-to-end product development.
- Experience in IT projects and cross-functional collaboration (Legal, Compliance, Transparency, Privacy, Finance).
- Numerate with analytical capabilities and experience in financial data analysis.
