The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for conducting design engineering on new and existing products. Release drawings for finished coproduct designs as dictated by customers or market requirements. Provides technical assistance to Sales, Quality Assurance, Purchasing and Manufacturing. Investigate and/or create new product opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in projects review in collaboration with the local Application Engineering and ETO (Engineering To Order) Team as well as the factories; and works closely with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and Sales departments’ personnel in preparation and finalization of product and process designs;
• Conduct analysis using internal software following AS9100 procedures; investigates new designs; evaluates engineering proposals and critically reviews customer drawings and specifications as they relate to the application for both new and repeat orders;
• Prepare formal, technical proposals that satisfy customer inquiries or specifications; makes modifications and design changes in existing product lines, all in respect of applicable current standards and practices;
• Interfaces with and provides application assistance to the Application Engineering Team and customers;
• Assistance in resolution of manufacturing issues related to drawings or product field performance;
• Applies or establishes engineering standards, practices and specifications and ensures sound, technical engineering concepts are applied;
• Shows communication skills by understanding the wants, needs, and viewpoints of others, excelling in relationship management, listening, and relating to colleagues and stakeholders.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering - Aero or Mechanical or Technical diploma with relevant experience
• Proficient in mechanical skills
• Experience with engineering drawings and parametric 3D modeling systems; familiar with CAD programs
• Skilled in implementing GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) along with Geometric Product Specification (GPS).
• Very good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Fluency in Italian and in English, both verbal and written;
• Willingness to travel according to the needs;
• Disciplined approach and work well in a structured environment

Additional information

The position will be located in Villar Perosa (Turin), on local contract.
The position holder will report to the Aerospace Product Engineering Manager.
