About The Position

Dometic is a global market leader in the mobile living industry. Millions of people around the world use Dometic products in outdoor, residential, and professional applications. We are on a growth journey – now looking for a Product Development Manager to support our Mobile Power Solution sub-segment.

The Product Development Manager will play a crucial role in managing the development teams responsible for our products. The role involves ensuring we have the right competence and team to develop the Mobile Power Solution product portfolio to meet our business goals.

This position will be responsible for acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Drive the development and delivery of a relevant, innovative, and profitable product portfolio that positions Dometic as a leading supplier of Mobile Power Solutions.
• Ensure development teams produce safe, high-quality, and high-performance products.
• Ensure adherence to Dometic’s and MPS development processes.
• Develop and enhance team competencies across disciplines such as system engineering, hardware, firmware, software, mechanics, validation, testing, and project management.
• Improve process efficiency and quality in new product development.
• Manage the budget process for the PD team and coordinate with the PM team.
• Lead organizational development projects to increase efficiency, control, and quality.
• Maintain an updated resource plan for at least the next 12 months.
• Develop partnerships with consulting companies for temporary resource needs.
• Contribute to project effort estimations and business cases.
• Represent the PD entity in Product Councils and Project Request meetings, prioritizing projects based on the roadmap.
• Manage KPIs for the PD center and present them monthly.
• Work with development and sourcing teams to meet launch timing, technical, functional, design, packaging, and cost requirements.
• Complete key deliverables for projects within the Mobile Power Solutions portfolio.
• Adhere to and improve upon existing processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Delegate tasks, resolve issues, build relationships, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Participate in project post-mortems and develop recommendations for future projects.
• Manage project scope changes, crises, and contingency plans.
• Estimate resources needed and draft budget proposals.
• Ensure product costs are minimized while meeting requirements and performance standards.
