A manufacturing leader is seeking a Product Development Engineer in Parma, Italy. The role involves collaborating in a cross-functional team to drive product development from concept to market, ensuring efficiency and quality. Candidates should have a Master’s in Engineering and strong mechatronic skills, with proficiency in MS Office and CAD. Knowledge of project management and data management tools like PowerBi are advantageous.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Your opportunity
Be part of cross-functional team working on Product Development (PD) delivering key activities to ensure a successful transition from concept to market. Participate to the whole PD process to support product development with efficiency, cost-effectively, with focus on quality and risk management, and acting actively on industrialization. Possibility to work across all Italian sites (Parma, Mantova or Verona).

Responsibilities

• Participate actively on Product Development programs supporting project Tollgates achievement on time in full.
• Participate from initial product concepts and design concepts to contribute with Design for Manufacturing and Design to Cost application.
• Participate to cost estimation of equipment and baseline from initial design phase to final design.
• Lead the Learning Curve cost definition and cost optimization planning with improvement actions and cost forecasts overtime.
• Participate to risk assessment, Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and lead Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
• Lead the Make or buy definition.
• Define and validated assembling and testing procedures for workshop & customer plant activities, with a key focus on health & safety aspects.
• Define the preparation of list of tools and utilities required for production, testing and validation in support to production team.
• Participate to prototype and pre-series production to ensure the results forecasted.

Qualifications

• Education
  Master Degree in Engineering (Mechatronic or Industrial Engineering) or similar

• Computer Skills
  Proficient in MS Office
  CAD (Solidworks or similar)
  SAP knowledge is a plus

• Language Requirements
  Fluent English, written and spoken.
  French is a plus

  Mechatronic skills / knowledge.
  Production process and manufacturing technologies skills / knowledge.
