A luxury fashion house seeks a Product Development Director to oversee the creation and management of new products. This senior role involves leading product development processes, collaborating with various teams, and driving innovation while adhering to quality standards. Candidates must have a degree related to fashion or engineering and considerable experience in the fashion industry.

Product Development Director , Reports to LG Industrial Director

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for developing new products for each collection, including prototypes and samples, as well as managing technical information related to all new products (LG, SLG, Belts, Jewels, etc.).

Profile

• Collaborate actively with Design and Marketing teams to define new product and material requirements, and establish collection timelines.
• Accountable for product costing in partnership with production, purchasing, and industrialization departments to control costs and achieve target margins.
• Propose technical and innovative ideas to improve product quality and reduce costs.
• Develop new materials in close cooperation with the Sourcing team.
• Manage pattern-making and prototyping activities to meet schedules.
• Ensure technical data for BOMs and PDM systems are complete to support sourcing and production planning.
• Participate in review meetings to assess product feasibility and manufacturability.
• Implement internal procedures and key milestones related to product development processes.
• Adhere to brand quality guidelines and aesthetic standards.
• Lead and develop the team, communicating a clear vision, motivation, and feedback.

Additional Information

Education : University degree in Economics, Engineering, Fashion Industry, or related fields.

Professional Background

Minimum of 10 years in a Development Department within the Fashion Industry.

Knowledge of products and manufacturing processes.

Strong experience in managing relationships with Designers, Marketing, and Production teams.
