Reporting to the Head of Quality and operating within the Quality Department based in Novara, the Product Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring product compliance across all Stella McCartney product categories (RTW, Bags & Accessories, Shoes). The role collaborates closely with the After Sales team on aspects related to the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) and serves as a key liaison between the company and external laboratories and consultants. The position ensures adherence to global product regulations, including chemical compliance, product safety, customs requirements, and labeling. Additionally, the role maintains close collaboration with the Sustainability Team and the Corporate Social Responsibility & Human Rights function.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and update the Product Restricted Substances List (PRSL) in collaboration with external consultants; ensure timely communication of PRSL updates to internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  2. Coordinate external laboratory testing activities, working with raw material teams and product development to identify and resolve compliance issues.
  3. Act as the main contact between the company, laboratories, and consultants for testing and compliance matters.
  4. Support the flow of product compliance information across departments, ensuring teams are informed of regulatory constraints and risks.
  5. Collaborate with the Sustainability Team to align compliance efforts with environmental certifications and sustainability standards.
  6. Prepare reports to monitor compliance activities and communicate findings and risks.

Requirements:

  • Educational background in Chemistry, Engineering, or related fields, preferably with specialization in Product Compliance (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).
  • 4-5 years of experience in product compliance, ideally in the fashion industry or consultancy firms.
  • Familiarity with technical systems and a curiosity for processes and data flows.
  • Strong analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Excellent communication skills in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to travel for supplier visits, audits, or lab follow-ups.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems (knowledge of Stealth is a plus).
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
