Job Description:
The position is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including:
- defining the product roadmap by researching and analysing market conditions, identifying key competitors and trends
- gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements
- articulating key market requirements, identifying opportunities for product innovation and product enhancements
- working closely with engineering, sales, marketing to ensure development targets and customer satisfaction goals are met
- planning and executing key strategic initiatives to develop the business by exploiting opportunities given by the company’s current and future technologies, ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals
Key accountabilities:
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Deliver market and product requirements
- Develop and succeed in significant new initiatives impacting the revenues of the business category
- Work with customers, partners, and external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
- Act as program/project manager to plan and execute beta and discovery programs with early-stage products and samples, overseeing the new product development activities
- Support sales and marketing with product knowledge and technical expertise as an application field expert
- Enhance cross-functional collaboration and promote trust among functions
- Liaise with advertising and public relations to promote the product
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; an MBA is a plus
- Solid experience as a Product Manager or in Business Development within the food & beverage industry (both customer and supplier sides)
- Proven success in defining and launching components/devices to the market
- Knowledge of food & beverage industry standards
- Proven project management skills; PMP certification is a plus
- Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Strong problem analysis, solution skills, and strategic thinking; ability to analyze data and derive insights
- Outstanding planning and organizational skills with adaptability to shifting priorities and rapid change
- Availability to travel at least 50% of the time
