Job summary

McKinsey & Company invites you to join the two-year Operations Excellence Program (OEP) as a consultant in Europe. You will work on client engagements, perform problem solving, hypothesis formation, analyses, and synthesize recommendations with coaching from senior experts.

You will develop world-class operations and consultancy skills through on-the-job coaching and structured capability-building, with opportunities across manufacturing, purchasing, service operations, and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and exceptional academics.
• Experience in strategic purchasing and/or supply management (e.g., global sourcing strategies, cross functional category management, RfQ processes and negotiations).
• Proven leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities.
• Willingness to relocate/move for European assignments during the work week.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate complex ideas effectively in English and the local office language.

Responsibilities

• Solve client problems by identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing analyses, and synthesizing conclusions into actionable recommendations.
• Develop and apply world-class operations and consultancy skills through on‑the‑job coaching within the OEP.
• Contribute to multiple client engagements across different industry and operations service lines.
