Descrizione del lavoro

Being part of the Procurement team and reporting to the EU Procurement Leader, the local Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the operational procurement activities required to ensure the smooth and timely supply of goods and services to the site. In addition, they will support process improvements and supplier performance evaluations, as well as request quotations for materials, packaging, items, and services.

Working closely with the Regional Procurement Leader and the local team, this is a key position essential to the site's success.

Daily Responsibilities

1. Coordinate with the Regional Procurement Lead and Supply Chain team to set and monitor inventory levels for raw materials to ensure uninterrupted production.
2. Place purchase orders based on established agreements with accuracy.
3. Proactively follow up on order confirmations and ensure timely deliveries by maintaining effective communication with suppliers.
4. Address supply issues promptly by engaging relevant stakeholders and exploring alternative solutions.
5. Stay informed about raw material market conditions and advise local stakeholders accordingly.
6. Monitor supplier delivery performance and maintain supplier lead times and minimum order quantities in SAP.
7. Manage the onboarding process for new suppliers, ensuring all regulatory and documentation requirements are met.
8. Negotiate terms for raw materials and packaging to optimize costs.
9. Identify opportunities for process improvements and streamline communication channels.
10. Provide procurement support for non-raw material projects as needed.

During absences, team members from logistics may act as backups for procurement activities, and vice versa.

Requirements

• University degree in Economics or related field
• Fluent in English and Italian
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel
• Experience in procurement within structured, international companies
• Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to challenge existing processes
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism in supplier and internal stakeholder interactions
• Flexible, adaptable, and open to new projects and opportunities
