Job post for a Procurement Specialist role in Monza, Italy.

Purpose of the position / responsibilities

Coordinate and lead procurement activities, acting as the primary contact with internal and external partners. Focus on market scouting, identifying cost-saving opportunities, implementing contracts, and ensuring compliance in line with the COE’s strategies.

Primary activities

  • Lead commodity management to support performance goals such as Right First Time (RFT), On Time in Full (OTIF), Purchase Price Variance (PPV), savings targets, and Quality Assurance.
  • Build and maintain positive vendor relationships through open communication, on-site visits / audits, performance feedback, and conflict resolution.
  • Drive sourcing activities, projects, and implementations related to site TT and PDS.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities within assigned categories.
  • Support regulatory compliance activities, including internal tracking, audits, and change controls.
  • Manage pricing, quality issues with suppliers, and support documentation and RCA processes.
  • Participate in or support product launches, technical transfers, and integration projects.
  • Assess supplier profiles, analyze offers, and develop negotiation strategies.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and contract compliance.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to maintain stock levels, prepare reports, and keep records updated.

Requirements

Education

MSc / MA in Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field.

Technical Skills

Market research, data analysis, purchasing methodologies, MS Office, SAP, ARIBA.

Professional Experience

At least six years in purchasing within manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments, with experience managing prices, terms, and conditions.

Languages

Proficiency in relevant languages.

Personality Traits

Excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical approach, and willingness to travel between sites as needed.
