Role : Procurement Manager – Renewable Energy Projects (Italy)
Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Procurement Manager to lead procurement and supply chain activities across a growing portfolio of renewable energy projects in Italy. This role involves sourcing and contracting key equipment (solar PV, batteries), construction services (EPC, BoP), and O&M providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for utility-scale solar, storage, and hybrid energy projects.
- Lead RFIs, RFPs, vendor selection, and contract negotiations for major components such as modules, inverters, and batteries.
- Manage supplier relationships with EPCs, OEMs, and service providers.
- Ensure adherence to ESG and sustainability standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, Legal, Engineering, and Finance.
- Track procurement KPIs, vendor performance, and budgets.
- Build and maintain a qualified supplier database, emphasizing Italian and European content.
- Identify and manage supply chain risks; support delivery during construction and commissioning.
- Assist with permitting and local content compliance as needed.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of procurement or supply chain experience in energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
- Solid understanding of renewable energy technologies and procurement processes.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis skills.
- Familiarity with FIDIC or similar EPC contract frameworks.
- Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).
Preferred :
- Experience with utility-scale solar PV, battery storage (BESS), or hybrid projects in Italy.
- Knowledge of Italian permitting and regulatory frameworks.
