ABB, leader nell’energia e automazione, cerca un Procurement Engineering Manager in Lombardia per guidare l’integrazione tra acquisti, ingegneria e R&D, migliorare costi e qualità e coordinare le attività di gate di progetto. La posizione prevede un inquadramento ibrido in Italia e stretta collaborazione con team locali e globali.

La funzione richiede esperienza in NPD, conoscenza di SAP/Ariba, laurea ingegneristica e ottime capacità di gestione degli stakeholder.

Qualificações

• Metodologie di approvvigionamento avanzate (should-cost, analisi della catena del valore) e sviluppo fornitori.
• Esperienza minima di 5 anni in procurement in programmi NPD.
• Competenza in SAP/SAP Ariba o sistemi ERP equivalenti e familiarity con PLM e strumenti di project management.
• Capacità di collaborazione interfunzionale e gestione degli stakeholder.
• Laurea in Ingegneria o esperienza equivalente in Supply Chain/Business with strong technical background.
• Buona comunicazione in italiano e inglese, sia scritta che parlata.

Responsabilidades

• Interfaccia tra Procurement, Engineering e R&D per integrare conoscenza di mercato nei processi di sviluppo.
• Guidare costi e qualità iniziali, contribuire al rispetto di obiettivi di costo e qualità di progetto.
• Gestire attività del Gate Model di procurement e riunioni di gate progetti.
• Ottimizzare costi e qualità in tutte le fasi dei progetti di sviluppo.

Procurement Engineering Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to be responsible for being an interface between Procurement, Engineering and R&D team. Each day, you will drive procurement knowledge (market, suppliers, external intelligence) into the development process to optimise engineering cost, quality, and technology. You will also showcase your expertise by translating engineering requests into procurement parameters for execution.

This role is contributing to the ELSB, Energy Distribution, Procurement P&EM in Italy. Main stakeholders are R&D and Engineering project teams, local Procurement teams, and division Procurement Category Managers.

Work Model For The Role Is

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

• Managing the ordering and on-time delivery of the prototype parts directly with the suppliers for each project, in alignment with the critical project development and testing plan.
• Being responsible for procurement Gate Model activities, arranging project procurement gate meetings as required, and creating and maintaining the project related to procurement documents.
• Estimating initial cost and quality and achieving product cost and quality targets.
• Working to optimise cost and quality at all stages of the development projects.

Qualifications For The Role

• You are highly skilled in procurement methodologies such as should-cost modelling, value chain analysis, and supplier development and are deeply engaged in the electrical equipment and energy distribution market.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in procurement within New Product Development (NPD) programmes, working as a Procurement Engineer or Project Buyer with mechanical/electromechanical/electronics components and systems.
• Highly adept in SAP, SAP Ariba, or equivalent ERP/procurement platforms, and comfortable working with PLM and project management tools.
• You demonstrate cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management and you are innovative around problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering) or proven experience in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration with a strong technical background.
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and English (both written and spoken, required for international stakeholder interaction).

Compensation Package

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: € 48.000,00

Variable Pay: AIP target 5% + Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
