Job Description

Job Purpose

Provide process engineering and technical leadership for the industrialization of new products/processes and the optimization of existing commercial ones. This role includes supporting deviation management and troubleshooting, ensuring continuous improvement in process performance.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

In the MS&T team based in Rho at the direct report to the MS&T Manager you will be in charge of:

  • Act as technical lead for technology transfer of new products/processes (from R&D, CDMO or other plants).
  • Lead the implementation of processes in new lines/equipment for scale-up or debottlenecking.
  • Coordinate allocation evaluations and assess process data on safety, quality, CAPEX, and capacity.
  • Collaborate in defining user requirements for new equipment and support simulations using Dynochem or Visimix.
  • Monitor shop floor performance, analyzing data with statistical tools such as JMP.
  • Lead MS&T-driven improvements in yield, quality, and cycle time.
  • Support industrialization and validation of improved processes.
  • Assist in cleaning validation, including surface contact calculations and material compatibility assessments.
  • Analyze BOMs and Routings to support STD cost definition and propose improvement opportunities.
  • Serve as MS&T focal point for HAZOP analysis and coordinate MS&T-assigned tasks.
  • Act as site interface for micronization issues and method transfer with global SMEs and external providers.
  • Provide MS&T technical leadership for DSP processes of fermentation products.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Knowledge of GMP, GDP, and Data Integrity standards.
  • Familiarity with EHS regulations.
  • Respect for the Code of Ethics and company values.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in chemical/pharmaceutical industry or engineering company in roles such as process chemist, process engineer or Process technologist.

Candidate Profile

  • Background in chemical/industrial chemistry preferred, ideally with experience in API manufacturing.
  • Experience in micronization and interaction with SMEs is highly valued.
  • Technology transfer experience is a plus, though not mandatory.
  • Strong ownership, proactivity, flexibility, humble and collaborative.
  • English language proficiency required.
