Westlake Global Compounds in Samarate, Italy is seeking a committed Process Engineer to enhance manufacturing processes. The role involves analyzing and optimizing production, managing plant CAPEX projects, and collaborating across functions to improve quality, safety, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in engineering, possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, and have strong analytical skills. An attractive compensation package, including an annual base salary starting at €40K, and additional benefits will be provided.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience ideally in PVC compounding or the chemical industry.

To strengthen our Manufacturing Site in Samarte, Italy, we are looking for a committed Process Engineer (m/f/d).

About The Role

As a Process Engineer, you will drive the analysis, optimization, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes. You will manage plant CAPEX projects and work cross-functionally to enhance efficiency, quality, safety, and cost‑effectiveness.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyze and monitor production processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement data‑driven improvements
• Support preventive and extraordinary maintenance planning and ensure adequate spare parts availability
• Collaborate with HSE on supplier management, documentation, and compliance with safety regulations
• Participate in equipment, machinery, and process validation and support troubleshooting of production and quality issues
• Analyze technical and production KPIs, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions
• Contribute to maintaining and improving the Quality Management System, including procedures related to safety and environment
• Define technical, quality, and production specifications for new investments and manage CAPEX projects from budgeting to commissioning

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience ideally in PVC compounding or the chemical industry
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, maintenance, and control systems
• Familiarity with PLCs and basic programming logic; knowledge of ISO 13485 is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on, shop‑floor oriented mindset
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) and ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels
• Experience working with ERP/MES systems (preferably SAP) is an advantage
