PPG is seeking a dedicated Process Engineer Intern to join our Piedmont, Italy manufacturing team. You will help define, implement and improve processes, collaborating with the technical lab and shift teams to ensure quality and efficiency.

You will gain experience with process mapping, production cycles and data analysis while supporting EHS practices and continuous improvement initiatives. English fluency and office tools knowledge are required.

Competenze

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis.
• Good level of English.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Mansioni

• Review batch tickets in collaboration with the lab, department manager and Launch Process Engineer to ensure alignment between requested instructions and actual operations.
• Assess the best equipment/processes to meet goals considering production cycles, quality, costs and lead time.
• Suggest improvements to ensure safe manufacturability and repeatable processes.
• Map processes in the field to update the production capacity model.
• Review and update main working methods for transfer of packaging materials to production tanks, washing and setup.

Process Engineer Internship

As Process Engineer, you will be responsible for defining, implementing and continuously improving the process relating to Process Engineering, including standard processes, operational instructions and preventive actions to achieve the best Quality and Process performances

Key Responsibilities

• Review, in cooperation with the technical laboratory, department manager and Launch Process Engineer, the batch tickets instruction for the assigned manufacturing cell in order to guarantee the congruence between the process instructions requested in the batch ticket and the actual operation in the field.
• Assess the best choice between the available equipment/processes defining production cycles in agreement with technical goals, quality, costs and lead time.
• Make suggestions and ensure safe manufacturability and repetitive processes;
• Process Mapping to be carried out in the field on the codes / production cycles representative of the assigned manufacturing cell in order to update the production capacity model.
• Review / update of the main working methods relating to the transfer of packaging materials to the production tank, washing and set-up of the systems.

Activities in cooperation with department manager and Performance Process Engineer

• Ensure the process follows all EHS practices to prevent accidents, spills and other EHS issues.
• Support in data analysis and data digitization activities based on the needs

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry
• Knowledge of statistical analysis
• Good level of English
• Good knowledge of Office tools (Words, Power Point, Excel)
