Barilla Group is seeking talented students and new graduates to join the Process Engineers' team at their production plant in Ascoli Piceno. Engage in real-world experience focused on continuous improvement and support various plant functions.

Ideal candidates are new graduates or 2nd year engineering students fluent in English and Italian. Responsibilities include supporting quality compliance and collaborating with plant teams to enhance production efficiency.

Competenze

  • Fluent in both English and Italian.
  • Knowledge of basic Lean methodologies is a plus.

For our production plant in Ascoli Piceno, we are now looking for talented students/new graduates to join our Process Engineers' team. As a key player in the team, the intern will be provided with real-world experience and will have the opportunity to build expertise and be exposed to several competences.

Job Purpose

Support the competence area/line in promoting a continuous improvement mindset to enhance production efficiency, quality, safety, and environmental performance. Work closely with line personnel and related functions to support improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Continuous Improvement Support: Help identify opportunities for improvement by analyzing reports and field data. Assist in managing small improvement projects and provide inputs to planners and shift leaders for special production requests. Contribute to efficiency, quality, and safety initiatives by supporting problem analysis and process adjustments.
  • Compliance & Quality Support: Assist in ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. Support audits and participate in root cause analysis of issues, helping define preventive or corrective actions.
  • Technology & Production Support: Collaborate with plant technologists and shift leaders to monitor process performance and support pilot tests or adjustments on production lines.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with different plant functions and teams, from operators to plant leadership, supporting daily coordination and communication.
Requirements
  • New graduates / 2nd year students of Master’s degree in Engineering (Management, Mechanical, ...) and other similar studies
  • Fluent English and Italian
  • Knowledge of basic Lean techniques (SMED - 5S - VSM ecc.) will be considered a plus
