A Day in the Life
At Medtronic Mirandola, we are seeking a Process Engineer with extensive experience in molding processes to join our team. You'll play a crucial role in advancing respiratory healthcare technologies that make a real difference in patients' lives. You'll work with state-of-the-art technologies and pioneering processes that set the standard in the respiratory medical device industry, applying your engineering skills to innovate and refine processes that enhance the performance and reliability of our respiratory solutions.
The Respiratory Intervention Group develops life-restoring therapies and healthcare solutions that span the care continuum. Our plant, Mallinckrodt DAR, in Mirandola is serving our Respiratory Intervention Operating Unit to deliver solutions and products that prevent the onset and improve the management of respiratory failure.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Lead the innovation, development, and/or optimization of new manufacturing concepts, processes, and procedures for transfer to operations—particularly in molding and extrusion

  • Ensure processes and procedures comply with regulatory standards

  • Provide technical and sustaining engineering support within a manufacturing environment

  • Recommend and implement equipment and process improvements to uphold quality standards, enhance production efficiency, optimize manufacturing techniques, and improve yield for existing products

  • Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and timelines

  • Develop and support manufacturing processes that apply statistical process control, including the design and implementation of measurement systems

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing process engineering role

  • Prior experience with molding and extrusion processes is advantageous

  • Strong English language skills

  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma principles to support workflow improvement

  • Solid understanding of key manufacturing performance areas: quality, service, cost, and safety

The successful candidate brings a strong foundation in manufacturing and integrated supply chain operations, paired with the ability to build effective relationships across multiple roles, including technicians, team leads, and cross-functional partners. This person values collaboration, communicates transparently, embraces diverse perspectives, and builds trust to foster alignment and deliver shared outcomes.

This role is permanent and full time contract based in Mirandola.
